People CommonHealth announced new hires in the Xchange company. Brad Carlson and Selena Brown joined as senior account executives and Walter Bartus joined as senior program manager. James Ruiz returned to Xchange as program management supervisor. Kristi Castano joined as management supervisor. Ferguson, also part of CommonHealth, promoted Mickey McDermott from senior vice president, creative director to executive creative director. Gregg Friedmann was appointed senior vice president, creative director. C. Wayne Dunlap was named the vice president of strategic planning at MedPoint Communications. Abelson-Taylor promoted Scott Hansen to vice president,creative director. He will oversee all of the creative work for the new DTP group.

Awards The New Jersey Advertising Club recognized four of CommonHealth's companies during the 37th Annual NJAC Awards Competition.The award-winning companies were: Adient, Altum, Ferguson and Xchange At last month's IN-AWE awards, sponsored by the Medical Marketing Association, Abelson-Taylor took home a total of 15 awards, a mix of gold, silver and bronze. Additionally, Dorland Global Health Communications earned two gold and three silver awards. Adair-Greene Healthcare Communications also won three awards: a gold, silver and bronze.

Launches The Web site for King Pharmaceuticals' Sonata underwent a makeover by Compass Healthcare Communications, which redesigned and launched the insomnia medication site in order to make it more accessible to both physicians and patients.
