Has anyone considered the likelihood of Merck-Serono blocking Schering Plough from renaming itself 'Merck' in a reverse merger? The agreement on the use of the name 'Merck' between the two current Mercks does not extend to a third party. What better way for Merck-Serono to regain exclusive use of a valuable brand identity that they have been denied since World War I.
