Life sciences industry technology standards group Align Biopharma announced that it has added 14 biopharma companies and technology and service providers to its membership. Since its inception six months ago, the group now includes 23 members working to make it easier for healthcare professionals (HCPs) to connect digitally with life sciences companies.
Align Biopharma does not just include life sciences companies, but also technology providers Adobe, Exostar, Gigya, Janrain, and Kota; and service providers Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, and Mavens. Together these companies help to define and review Align Biopharma’s open technology standards.
Align Biopharma’s first standard is for identity management, defining the technical requirements for solutions that provide a single sign-on service for HCPs, and is expected this summer. It has also started developing its second standard for consent and preference management, which is expected to be posted for public review and input later this year.
