CPhI China to Host China Pharma Week

March 07, 2017

CPhI announces that the first ever edition of “China Pharma Week” will be launched on June 19-23, running concurrently with CPhI & P-MEC China 2017, which takes place June 20-22 at Shanghai New International Expo Center.

China Pharma Week covers six core themes, including Leadership, Business, Networking, Recognition, Knowledge and Innovation. The event will also include plant visits, the Women in Leadership Forum, and Night of Huangpu River Cruise Networking Dinner, which are collectively designed to build a more effective socializing platform for Chinese and global pharmaceutical enterprises.

Additionally, China Chamber of Commerce of Medicines & Health Products Importers & Exporters (CCCMHPIE) will select a list of the Top 100 Internationalized Companies in 2016, to raise the international recognition and influence of the most prominent global Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises.

Rutger Oudejans, Brand Director Pharma at UBM EMEA, commented: “With the [Chinese] government investing heavily in R&D research, new regulations like MAH opening-up the market for contract services, an enormous ingredients sector, along with an expanding middle class, there are now many new opportunities for both domestic and international companies. That’s why attending this week-long programme of content-led analysis and insights, coupled with specialist networking events, is absolutely essential for any executive looking to launch, expand or find partners in this vast pharma economy.”
