Job Description: To drive relations with industry associations and various European government healthcare stakeholders to implement corporate public affairs programs.

Our client is a leading global organization that delivers a wide range of services and products to the global pharmaceutical industry. They are rapidly expanding and growing, and are now looking to recruit a Director of Public Affairs to be based from either London or Brussels.

The key responsibilities of this position will be to develop strong relations with industry associations such as the EFPIA, EphMRA, ABPI, EAEPC, AESGP, and EGA. You will support the implementation of corporate public affairs programs and various European government healthcare stakeholders, and develop, administer and drive public communication policies, programs and related activities for the EMEA region.


To be successful in this role, the candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record of experience with demonstrated success in marketing, communications or public affairs.
  • Have a natural attitude to networking and building and maintaining relationships.
  • Have experience of closely working in or with the industry associations.
  • Have knowledge of the current European Pharmaceutical market, in particular the healthcare sector.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English, and at least one other major European language would be an advantage, but is not a pre-requisite.

  • Superior verbal and written communications skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
