Teva Pharmaceuticals Europe announced the launch of its Get It Right disease awareness campaign. The campaign focuses on increasing awareness and dialogue on the correct usage of asthma inhalers. It aims to challenge the public’s and physician’s min-set in managing asthma by calling attention to poor inhaler techniques while using social media and creating other media content and resources to educate people for World Asthma Day on May 2.
Using social media, the initiative is to spread the message by using hashtags #Getitright and #worldasthmaday. Additionally, a livestream broadcast will be provided to healthcare professionals on June 6, entitled Breathing New Life Into Inhalation Technology – Inside Out, An Exploration of Inhalers. The webinar will be chaired by Prof. Dr. J. Christian Virchow, Head of Department of Pneumology, University of Rostock, Germany will speak to the do’s and don’ts of inhaler techniques and how to help those affected by asthma.
