Th European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) has joined a group of European trade associations reiterating their "strong support for the ongoing negotiations for a Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP)".
A statement released yesterday underlined that "the TTIP negotiations remain on track and that intensive efforts are ongoing to conclude an ambitious agreement".
Conceding that "an ambitious and comprehensive agreement between the world’s two largest economies will not be easy to achieve," the trade associations called for "strong political commitment from the EU and U.S. governments ... to deliver an agreement that boosts growth, competitiveness and jobs on both sides of the Atlantic", adding that "continued and vocal support by EU and U.S. political leaders is critical".
