How New Liberal Government Could Impact Health Care in Canada

After ten years of successive minority and/or majority Conservative leadership, Canada is now led by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal majority. A key component of the Liberal platform is the creation of a Chief Science Officer position to ensure that “scientific analyses are considered when the government makes decisions”; this renewed focus on evidence-based policy may be helpful to science-based industries across a number of sectors.
