A veteran life sciences executive with more than 30 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology leadership experience spanning clinical, operational, financial and capital markets roles. He most recently served as president, CEO and board director of Silence Therapeutics, the Nasdaq-listed siRNA company.
Tooman’s career has included a series of strategic transactions. As president, CEO and board Director of Aratana Therapeutics, he negotiated the company's $250 million merger with Elanco. As CFO of Enzon Pharmaceuticals, he coordinated the sale of its specialty pharmaceutical business to Sigma Tau for over $300 million, and at ILEX Oncology he led the $1.1 billion acquisition by Genzyme Corporation, including its integration.
