"Diabetes: Approaches in Disease Management" addresses the clinical and economic impact of diabetes management, profiles current treatment guidelines and describes the different diabetes management programs being developed by pharmaceutical companies.
"Contemporary Pharmacoeconomics" describes pharmacoeconomic research methods and their applications in health care. It encompasses the relationship between disease management, outcomes management, pharmacoeconomics and quality-of-life surveys, as well as the role of pharmacoeconomics in formulary decision-making.
"Outcomes Measurement, Management and Marketing" presents an overview of outcomes research and management in the health care delivery process and how outcomes data can be used as a valuable selling tool. It also explains how and why some pharmaceutical companies are partnering with managed care organizations to conduct outcomes research.
The courses are self-directed and approved for credit toward CMR certification. Representatives who wish to be certified by CMR may concentrate in one of three areas of study: business in health care, disease management or science and medicine.
