Pharm Exec 2013 Emerging Pharma Leader Appointed CEO, PaxVax

PaxVax, Inc. (Redwood City, CA), a specialty vaccine company focused on travel and biodefense, has appointed Nima Farzan Chief Executive Officer and President.

In 2013, as PaxVax's then Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Farzan was featured as one of Pharm Exec's Emerging Pharma Leaders. (See his profile here.) He joined PaxVax in September 2011 from Novartis AG, where he had served in pharmaceutical marketing, sales and development in both the U.S. and global positions. Prior to Novartis, Mr. Farzan worked in marketing and business development at DoubleTwist, Inc., a genomics company, and before that at The Boston Consulting Group.
