Foundation Medicine Taps Genentech Veteran as CEO

Foundation Medicine (Cambridge, MA) has announced that it appointed Troy Cox as chief executive officer to succeed Michael Pellini, M.D. Cox will also join the Board of Directors. Cox joins from Roche-Genentech (South San Francisco, CA), where he served as senior vice president, US commercial. Foundation Medicine’s Pellini has been CEO of the company since 2011. He has now been appointed chairman of the company’s Board of Directors. Alexis Borisy, founding chief executive officer and current chairman of the board, will also continue to serve on the Board of Directors. These changes will take effect February 6, 2017.
