Google-Backed Healthcare Firm Closes $17.5m Funding Round

"Insights-as-a-service" company Zephyr Health (San Francisco, CA) has closed a $17.5 million funding round led by Google Ventures, alongside current investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Icon Ventures. Zephyr Health has received a total of $33.5 million funding to date. Blake Byers, General Partner at Google Ventures commented: "At Google Ventures, we look for companies that work at the intersection of data science and healthcare [...] Zephyr Health is at the forefront of healthcare analytics.
