The EU has issued Regulation 536/2014 of the European Parliament and of The Council on Clinical Trials on Medicinal Products for Human Use, groundbreaking legislation that will allow sponsors to obtain both regulatory and ethics approval through one single portal when it is implemented at the end of 2017.
