Operational Challenges Health System Pharmacies Currently Face

Rob DeWig, VP of Healthcare Sales at Inmar, touched on the current operational challenges that health system pharmacies face.

Pharmaceutical Executive: What specific operational challenges are health system pharmacies facing right now that Premier and Inmar’s partnership is aiming to solve?
Rob DeWig: So I think the operationally efficiencies question is interesting, because the list is long, and so as a partner with these health systems, it's determining where we can help improve some of those operational efficiencies. And, you know, with DSCSA, as well as the revenue cycle management with DSCSA, it's basically not interrupting the operational workflow, and so making it seamless to make sure they're compliant with DSCSA is very important, which our system does and then from revenue cycle management, you know, we often hear, especially in like an outpatient pharmacy or retail patient pharmacy setting give us more time with our patients, because in those settings, they actually get to talk to patients all the time. And so with the revenue cycle management, it really we're the back end making sure that, you know, reducing the write offs, reducing the time that you're paid, making sure that you're paid properly per your payer agreements, and so it really gives them more time to focus on the patients, instead of trying to track down dollars that they should be being paid for.
